WOODCHIPS
Harrow Woodchip Group is a progressive educational group for under 5's, their parents and carers.
- Developing, sharing and co-operative skills.
- Developing respect for and a caring attitude towards others.

- Enjoying the outdoor environment and environment and developing respect for the natural world.
- Appreciating each others efforts and the achievements of the group.
- Becoming familiar with the basic principles of the Woodcraft Folk.
Harrow Woodchips meet on Saturday mornings, 9.45 to 11am in Harrow Weald.
The first part of the programme consists of co-operative games, which include, on occassions, parachute games. These games are followed by a simple educational period of craft work, painting, simple drama, singing or folk dancing, varying from week to week. The session usually ends with more games.
Harrow Woodchips - Programme examples
- The Harrow Woodchips will be developing their skills by
working with their parents on activities such as story telling,
camp fire singing and folk dancing. - Both parents and children will also be enjoying themselves doing craftwork projects such as peace doves, snow scenes, lanterns for the Chinese New Year,dinosaur finger puppets, Valentine's Day cards and Easter nests.
- Drama: Puppet theatre.
- Every week: Games.
Outdoor Events: programme takes place with visits , camps and an opportunity to join in district camps arranged by Harrow Woodcraft Folk.
A Summer programme takes place with additional visits and an opportunity to join in four camps arranged by Harrow Woodcraft Folk.
